US module maker Beamreach Solar has unveiled a lightweight PV panel system for the commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop market that promises to be faster and cheaper to install than conventional black-top and generate up to 20% more power from arrays of up to around 1MW.
German polysilicon giant Wacker Chemie signed a “strategic partnership” with 1366 Technologies, investing $15m into the US solar wafer start-up and agreeing to act as the primary polysilicon supplier for the wafer factory it is building in upstate New York.
