The Solar Market Pathways fundingopportunity aims to help communities cut bureaucratic red tape and build strongpublic-private partnerships to deploy commercial-scale solar.
It will also support the Obamaadministration’s goal of doubling renewable energy generation for a second timeby 2020.
As part of these solar deploymentplans, communities will establish innovative financing mechanisms and launchcreative community-based initiatives, such as shared solar programs.
