BayWa Renewable Energy, the renewables arm of German trading company BayWa, has commissioned its fourth UK solar array, the 18MW Whitland PV plant in Wales.
BayWa says that despite unfavourable weather conditions, it
was able to build the solar park in nine weeks.
The Whitland solar array is located in a Welsh municipality
with the same name on a 28 hectare site, and consists of 69,000
poly-crystalline PV modules. It will be able to produce 17 million kWh
of green energy a year.
