Bombardier Aerospace has been given the go-ahead for Northern Ireland’s biggest solar array on the roof of its Belfast plant.

Northern Ireland’s environment ministry approved plans for a 3.8MW PV installation at Bombardier’s Airport Road West plant.

Canada-based Bombardier produces wings and components at the plant for aircraft such as the Learjet.

The company also received the go-ahead for a biogas CHP plant at the Belfast factory.
