Bluefield Solar Income Fund, the aggregator of British PV arrays, has added an under-development 11MW project in Kent – its eighth overall – to its fast-growing portfolio.

The project is being built by longstanding partner Solarcentury, the UK developer, which will stay on to provide O&M services under a separate agreement.

The acquisition will take Bluefield’s total PV capacity to 92MW, making it one of the country’s largest generators of solar power, alongside the likes of Lightsource.

After its eighth purchase Bluefield has committed 85% of the £130m ($214m) it raised in a initial public offering last summer in London.

Bluefield says it expects to make further announcements “shortly”.
