Good Energy has emerged as one of the sellers in the 21-project PV acquisition revealed earlier this week Quercus Asset Selection, with plans to sell the majority of an unbuilt 27.7MW project in Wales.
This week Luxembourg-based Quercus unveiled a deal to buy nearly two dozen PV plants totaling more than 250MW in the UK, in one of the largest solar deals the country has ever seen.
Quercus is acting in partnership with London-based engineering firm Progressum, with Bester Generacion to act as EPC contractor. All the projects will be built in 2014, according to Quercus.
The sellers of the projects were not initially identified, but today the Good Energy Group announced it would sell a 76% stake in an unbuilt 27.7MW project in Pembrokeshire, for an estimated profit of £1.3m ($2.1m).
Good Energy says it has secured an option on its remaining 24% stake that may see it fetch a higher profit in future once the project is commissioned.
