China’s ReneSola has clinched a 69.5MW module supply agreement with UK solar developer Lightsource, representing its first major publicly-announced order in Europe since the provisional resolution of the EU-China solar spat. 

London-based Lightsource will use the modules in projects across the UK, which has emerged over the past year as one of the most vibrant solar markets in Europe.

ReneSola says the sales office it opened in the UK earlier this year has allowed it to feed up to 15MW a week into the British market.

“The quality of our glass allows our modules to reach relatively high electricity production levels, particularly with regard to diffused light, which is characteristic of the cloudy and overcast conditions often seen in the UK,” says Log in to read complete article.
