China's Trina sees the UK as a key market

German PV-builder SAG Solarstrom has grid-connected a 33MW array in the UK using modules from China’s Trina Solar.

The 137,000-module PV plant, on a former RAF base in the English Midlands, is among the largest yet built in the UK.

It was completed before changes in the country’s support regime for PV took effect this month.

Trina Solar’s president for Europe told Recharge in January that the UK was set to emerge as the continent’s key growth market in early 2013.
