EU starts registration of Chinese PV

The EU will today start registering imports of Chinese PV modules, as the threat of retroactive tariffs on shipments increases.

The EU move, which emerged last month, comes as the European Commission (EC) carries out separate investigations into claims of dumping and illegal subsidies lodged by some European PV manufacturers, with a final ruling expected later this year.

The registration by customs officials will last for nine months.
