Canadian Solar's BlackRock No.4
Canadian Solar has sold a fourth utility-scale Ontario PV project to asset management giant BlackRock.
A fund managed by BlackRock will acquire the 10MW(AC) Oro-Medonte plant, in the township of the same name.
Oro-Medonte is due to see construction work star by the end of March and enter service in the third quarter of the year.
Canadian Solar is providing modules and EPC services, and will also supply O&M after operations begin.
The PV group said the deal was made “at a valuation comparable to other recent project sales completed by Canadian Solar on a per megawatt basis in the Ontario market.”
BlackRock has already bought a trio of 10MW arrays from Canadian Solar – Demorestville, Taylor Kidd and most recently Westbrook.
