Beingdeveloped under the collaborative HelioPack project, the new system willfeature optimised heliostats, improved tracking and control technology for moreprecise concentration of solar beam radiation, and a new design of receiver.
“In the project we willco-operate closely with our industrial partner to develop technologiescontributing to cost reductions,” says Fraunhofer project manager PeterNitz.
“With the know-howgenerated in this project, we will be able to offer future customers R&D services to further improve components for solarpower towers or to manufacture them at reduced cost.”
