In the tender, France’s Commission de Régulation de l’Energie (CRE) called for an allocation of 20MW of ground-mounted plants exclusively based on CPV technology, plus 80MW more at which at least 50% CPV would be used.
Soitec said 16 projects were finally selected representing a volume of 103MW, and 13 of them plan to use its CPV modules – representing more than 50MW in total
Construction of the projects should be completed by spring of 2016, and the winning developers are now selecting EPC contractors.
