Conergy wins 3.3MW Spanish orders
German PV group Conergy says it has secured orders for two rooftop installations in Spain totalling 3.3GW.
Both orders are from Spanish energy firm Prosolia.
One is for a 1.8MW on the warehouse of a German logistics company in Sesena, about 80km south of Madrid. The other is for a 1.5MW installation on the roof of grocery wholesaler Mercatenerife in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, in the Canary Islands.
“Conergy has a leading market position on the Canaries,” says Conergy Spain head Luis Jiménez Gutierrez. “Both rooftop projects being built now still receive a feed-in tariff [FIT], but we’re prepared well for the time after the FIT: solar power is competitive both on the Canaries and on Spain’s mainland.”
Since last autumn, the Hamburg company has built 14 PV projects in Spain without FIT support.
