Global PV installations stood at 31GW in 2012, roughly thesame as the record-setting performance of 2011, according to latest figuresfrom The European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA).

That brought global installed capacity to just over 102GW –a performance the body labelled as “remarkable during a time of economic crisis”.

But for the first time in more than a decade, the EuropeanPV market declined year-on-year and it was left to emerging solar economies tokeep global growth on track.
