But she reaffirmed that there won't be retroactive measures to cut support schemes, and that the feed-in priority for renewables into Germany’s power grid will be maintained.

“The Renewable Energies Act with its feed-in priority has created a great success story as far as the build-up of renewables is concerned,” Merkel said at an event of Germany’s main energy industry group BDEW today.
