Total is the largest shareholder in a consortium givenpreferred bidder status to deliver the $200m 86MW Prieska PV project in theNorthern Cape.
The award was made this week as part of the third tender roundof South Africa’s renewable energy support scheme.
Total said its US-based SunPower subsidiary will supply itsSunPower Oasis Power Blocks technology to the project and “is expected” toprovide EPC and long-term operational services to the plant.
