Solarstrom today announced the 33MW Wymeswold PV array – the UK’s largest solar installation – has been sold to Foresight Solar Fund in a deal worth a net £43.7m ($69.9m) .

The array was developed by UK-based Lark Energy, with Germany’s Solarstrom acting as EPC contractor.

Solarstrom, which was also involved in Wymeswold’s financing, says it will receive a payout in the “medium double-digit million [euros] range” for the project, built on a disused Royal Air Force base in the English Midlands.
