China’s JinkoSolar said it expects to boost module shipments this year, as it delivered a third straight profitable quarter.

JinkoSolar – which was among the first of China’s PV manufacturers to return to the black last year – made a net profit of 164.3m yuan ($27m) in the final quarter of 2013, compared to a 761m yuan loss at the same stage in 2012.

Staying profitable for most of 2013 allowed JinkoSolar to narrow its full-year loss to 188m yuan, down from 2012’s 1.54bn yuan deficit.

The company shipped 1.93GW in 2013, 1.765GW of which was modules.

For 2014 JinkoSolar expects to boost module shipments to 2.3GW-2.5GW, with project developments coming in above 400MW.
