NSP and TSI, both based in Taiwan, will purchase approximately 4GW S2 and S3 Wafer product during contractual periods of three and two years respectively.
“Leveraging on our economy of scale, we will continue to deliver advanced products at lower cost to our long-term strategic partners” said Shu Hua, executive president of GCL-Poly.
GCL-Poly – the world’s largest supplier of polysilicon and wafers to the PV industry – has also built up an big pipeline of PV projects in China, and is increasingly pushing abroad.
It recently bought a 68% stake in Same Time Holdings for HK$1.44bn ($186m) intending to use it as a “platform” to buy and operate primarily PV plants.
