South Korean conglomerate LG Group will install 19MW of rooftop PV capacity on top of 19 factories by the end of this year.

Installation of the first rooftop array will start next month at an LG Display plant in Paju, north of Seoul, an LG Group spokesperson tells Recharge.

Once the 19MW plan is complete, the LG Group will have the nation’s highest rooftop PV capacity, with a total of 27.4MW installed.

Serveone, an outsourcing firm under the LG Group, will design, build and operate the plants. LG Electronics will supply the solar panels.
