SunPower has landed a 20MW supply order from the developer Ecomax in Japan, a market the US company says is well suited to its high-efficiency modules.
will deliver 20MW of its E20/327 modules – with a conversion efficiency of
20.1% – to Ecomax for installation during 2014 across central and northern
feed 13MW into projects it is building for Farmdo, an agriculture company. Some
4MW will go into projects it intends to sell to the local utility, while 3MW of
operational capacity will be kept on its own books.
confirms that it will “continue to buy” SunPower modules for its future
