Mitsubishi Electric in 39.3MW PV deal

Mitsubishi Electric will supply PV panels for a 39.3MW plant Eurus Energy is developing in western Japan

Renewables developer Eurus Energy has chosen Mitsubishi Electric to supply solar modules for a 39.3MW PV project west of Osaka.

The plant in Awaji, Hyogo prefecture, is scheduled to go online in July 2015. Eurus initially announced the project in early November as a 33.5MW installation.

Neither company has revealed the financial terms of the deal.

Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Electric has been tapped to supply several projects that Eurus has announced this year.

It has delivered modules for an 8.2MW plant set to go on line this month in Osaka, and is supplying panels for a 78.9MW project that is scheduled for completion in northern Aomori prefecture by November 2015.
