Chinese PV group Yingli has been tapped to provide 16.9MW of solar modules for two projects scheduled to go on line southwest of Tokyo by early 2015.

The panels will be used for a 9.4MW project and a 7.5MW installation to be developed by environmental-services provider Recycle One and building-maintenance specialist Aeon Delight in Kikugawa, Shizuoka prefecture.

They did not disclose the financial terms of the two projects.

Construction will start in December, under the oversight of Recycle One. The two plants, which are expected to provide enough electricity to supply 5,000 households, will become operational in February 2015.

Tokyo-based Recycle One has already developed a 40MW solar project in Futtsu, Chiba prefecture, as well as a 14MW PV Log in to read complete article.
