Tokyo-based renewables developer Japan Asia Group intends to install 500MW of PV in Japan by 2015 but may scale back its European operations, according to reports.
The company already has 110MW in the
pipeline for the current fiscal year, 190MW worth of installations planned for
2014 and roughly 200MW proposed for 2015, said Bloomberg, quoting Japan Asia Group's chairman.
The company has built 24 PV projects
totalling 59MW across Europe, but is considering scaling back its operations in
the region, it added.
In March 2012 Japan Asia Group signed
a deal with Japanese module-maker Solar Frontier to work together on at least
100MW of projects.
