Eurus plans 115MW Japan PV

Tokyo-based renewables developer Eurus Energy in July will start building a 115MW PV generation plant in northern Japan’s Aomori prefecture.

The ¥49bn ($479.7m) project in the town of Rokkasho is scheduled to start operations in November 2015.

A Eurus spokesperson told Recharge the company has not yet chosen a module supplier, but expects to make a decision soon.

The official said Eurus has several other projects in the pipeline, but declined to identify them.

Eurus is a venture between utility Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) and Toyota Tsusho, the trading arm of the Toyota Group.
