Suntech,
one
of
the
world’s
largest
manufacturers
of
panels,signed
a
memorandum
of
understanding
(MOU)
with
the
country’s
state-owned
energy
company
Uzbekenerg
to
build
the
joint
venture
facility
in
the
Navoiy
free
industrial
and
economic
zone,
according
to
a
report
by
Russian
news
agency
RIA
Novosti.
A
Suntech
spokesman
confirmed
to
Recharge
that
a
MOU
has
been
inked,
but
declined
to
confirm
who
the
company
has
signed
the
agreement
with.
He
also
says
earlier
reports
stating
investment
in
the
factory
will
amount
to
$10m
are
inaccurate.
