Trina supply deal for UK and Germany

China’s Trina Solar is supplying 20MW of panels to four projects in the UK and Germany under a co-operation agreement signed with PV systems supplier Abakus Solar.

The projects include a 2MW pilot project built on a landfill in Rietberg in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia state, which completed construction at the end of 2012.

Another three projects will be installed across southern England, including one on the Isle of Wight.

The solar plants are scheduled to start operations by the end of March.
