Shinsungwill produce the cells with SunEdison wafers.
SunEdison,which outsources production of cells and modules to a number of Chinese andTaiwanese suppliers, did not disclose the terms of the deal.
Theagreement comes several weeks after a SunEdison official expressed concern thatthe US could impose higher duties on imports of Chinese and Taiwanese cells.
In February, SunEdison reported a $286.4m net loss in the fourthquarter.
