SunEdison in 660MW Korea cell deal
SunEdison has agreed to buy 660MW of PV cells from Seoul-based Shinsung Solar Energy over the next three years.
Shinsung will produce the cells with SunEdison wafers.
SunEdison, which outsources production of cells and modules to a number of Chinese and Taiwanese suppliers, did not disclose the terms of the deal.
The agreement comes several weeks after a SunEdison official expressed concern that the US could impose higher duties on imports of Chinese and Taiwanese cells.
In February, SunEdison reported a $286.4m net loss in the fourth quarter.
