Hanergy unveiled the rooftop PV and storage systems at a ceremony marking Tesla’s first orders in China.
The carports are designed to shelter and charge vehicles. The mobile unit in Beijing will feature Hanergy's GSE flexible thin-film modules, while the Shanghai installation will be a fixed structure based on Hanergy's MiaSolé CIGS modules.
Hanergy Solar, majority owned by Beijing-based Hanergy Group, has acquired a number of CIGS specialists over the past two years, including MiaSolé, Global Solar Energy (GSE) and former Q Cells subsidiary Solibro.
