The Chinese company’s new Hanergy Global Solar Power andApplications Group will target areas including integrating thin-film intobuilding materials, rooftop and ground-mounted arrays, and flexible modules forconsumer products.

Hanergy will run the new unit through six offices in Europe and theMiddle East, North and South America, Africa, and the China/Asia-Pacific region.

Hanergy, which started life as a dam-builder and hydropowerdeveloper, has driven hard into thin-film PV via the acquisitions of two copperindium gallium selenide (CIGS) specialists – US-based MiaSole and Germany’s Solibro.
