In a crop of relatively healthy results, JA beat the 430MW upper end of its shipment guidance, having sent out 442.7MW worth of PV kit during the quarter – of which the majority was modules.

The positive news sent its shares spiralling up by 47% in early trading in the US today.

JA was the world’s leading supplier of PV cells when, in 2009, it took the decision to branch out into modules.
