Following upgrades to its furnaces and hydrochlorinationtechnology, ReneSola kicked off fully on 1 July, having called time on thefacility last November due to its uncompetitive costs.
Since the beginning of the year it has been slowing rampingup at the 10,000-tonne factory.
ReneSola – initially a wafer specialist before diversifyingto become one of China’s most vertically-integrated PV manufacturers in recentyears – says it is now producing at $18/kg, compared to $24/kg before theupgrade.
