Softbank’s SB Energy arm and Mitsui will each take 49% stakes inthe project, with PV panel supplier Kyocera holding the remainder.

Theproject, which will span roughly 250,000 square metres, is scheduled to becompleted by next July.

SB Energy and Mitsui also recently revealed plans to startbuilding a 111MW solar plant in northern Japan from this month.

In June, theyteamed up with Green Power Investment to build and operate a 48MW wind farm inShimane prefecture, western Japan.
