Canadian Solar, which is headquartered in Ontario, says it will supply 100MW of its 250W and 255W modules to the renewables arm of China Three Gorges, for a utility-scale project in Gansu province.

China Three Gorges has bought large batches of modules from a growing list of tier-one module suppliers in recent months, including JinkoSolar, JA Solar and Yingli.

The deal shows that Canadian Solar is “on track with our market diversification strategy”, says chief executive Shawn Qu.
