The projects are the latest in a seriesof renewables projects between Mitsui and SB Energy, the clean-energydevelopment arm of Softbank.
Toshiba will supply the PV modulesfor both installations, a Mitsui spokesperson told Recharge.
The two companies will build a22.4MW solar plant on a 27.8-hectare site in the city of Arao, Kumamotoprefecture, on the island of Kyushu. The installation is expected to generateenough electricity to supply 6,000 households per year.
