Last week the Chinese Bureau of Energy proposed a 12GW national PV target for 2014, as Beijing continues taking steps to rapidly expand domestic demand for solar energy – in part to aid the country’s increasingly consolidated group of solar champions.
Of that 12GW, two-thirds is meant to come from distributed rooftop systems, which would be a huge change for the utility-centric Chinese market.
