Trina secures 60MW China PV order

Trina Solar will supply 60MW of PV panels to glass producer Xinyi Solar for utility-scale and greenhouse PV projects in China’s Anhui province.

Changzhou-based Trina did not disclose the terms of the order, which will be completed by August. The deal includes 5MW of its TSM-PC05A modules and 30MW of its TSM-PC14 panels.

Wuhu-based Xinyi will also use 25MW of Trina's dual glass solar modules for a greenhouse rooftop installation at one of its facilities in Anhui.

The panels — which include two layers of 2.5mm heat-strengthened glass — are ideally suited for greenhouses, Trina said in an online statement.

In May, Xinyi signed a framework agreement to build up to 100MW of solar capacity in the city of Nanping, in southeastern China’s Fujian province.

Earlier this month, Trina secured a 23MW PV panel order for rooftop projects being developed by to Linuo Solar Power in Shandong province, eastern China.
