KDC Solar switches on Jersey PV

Developer KDC Solar has begun commercial operation of its 9.95MW solar PV system that will supply power to pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly’s operations in Branchburg, New Jersey

The facility is among the largest for a non-utility company on the US East Coast and for the pharmaceutical industry globally.

It will generate 12.9 million kWh of electricity per year and supply 45% of power required by Lilly’s manufacturing plant at this location.

KDC Solar developed, owns and will operate the solar panel system that is spread across 43 acres of land.

New Jersey-based KDC Solar is based in New Jersey and is backed by private equity fund Diamond Castle Holdings.
