South Korean PV manufacturer Hanwha SolarOne has unveiled a new hot-climate polycrystalline module tested to generate at high efficiency in 40°C.

The HSL60 Poly "hot environment" module, which features heat dissipation and passive cooling technologies, is designed to outclass conventional PV  systems with 10% better yields in ambient temperatures over 30°C.

"Compared with universal modules, this customisation adds value for specific solar projects," says chief executive Seong-woo Nam.

"With our extensive experience in the solar module business, close co-operation with market stakeholders worldwide and a flexible manufacturing model, we can rapidly react to new customer requirements in a dynamic market environment."
