China Sunergy (CSun) has finalised a licensing agreement for module-integrated installation equipment from US mounting and grounding system specialist Zep Solar.

The Nanjing-based company did not reveal the terms of the deal, which covers all of CSun's three production sites in Nanjing, Shanghai and Istanbul. It will adopt Zep Solar’s patented Zep Groove for the frames of its monocrystalline and polycrystalline modules.

California-based Zep Solar’s system has steadily gained favour with PV manufacturers.

Canadian Solar was the first big panel producer to start using Zep kit, but it has since been followed by JA Solar, Trina, Yingli and ReneSola.

CSun shipped 577.4MW of PV modules in 2013, up 47.7% on the year, as Asia surpassed Europe as its biggest source of demand.
