Troubled Trony misses new deadline

China’s Trony Solar has once again missed a key deadline for publishing financial information, further deepening the sense that a return to normality may be permanently out of reach for the distressed thin-film PV manufacturer.

Last September Trony failed to publish on time its financial results for the year ending 30 June 2012, due to ongoing accounting discrepancies for which a full audit was ordered.

At the time, Trony said that the results would be delayed “to a date no later than 1 March 2013”.

But on 28 February the company revealed that it is still unable to publish the results, saying  that it “has not reached an agreement with its auditor on the audit fee”.
