Japan’s Mitsubishi has bought a 50% stake in a 55MW French PV project developed by EDF Energies Nouvelles.

The purchase is Mitsubishi’s first PV acquisition in France and its first large-scale collaboration with EDF EN, which will continue to own the remainder.

The stake is in phase-one of the Toul-Rosières power plant on a former NATO military airbase near Nancy in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department of eastern France.

The total Toul-Rosières development, which began operation last June, has a 115MW capacity and has a 20-year power purchase agreement to sell its output to EDF.
