Martifer turns to 3W for key components at Ukraine plants

Portugal’s Martifer Solar has hired 3W Power to supply power-plant components for a duo of PV arrays in Ukraine, a country increasingly touted as a key European growth market.

Martifer is acting as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for a growing list of ground-mounted PV arrays going up in Ukraine, which analysts expect to add as much as 400MW of capacity this year.

3W, a subsidiary of AEG Power Solutions, recently opened a factory in Ukraine to meet the country’s 15% local-content requirement for PV projects.
