Kyocera’s
ambitious
target
to
reach
1GW
by
March
2013
will
be
supported
by
its
existing
Shiga
Yohkaichi
plant,
the
company
says.
Its
new
Yasu
solar
cell
plant,
completed
in
March
this
year,
is
the
company’s
largest
domestic
manufacturing
facilities.
The
facility
uses
an
enhanced
manufacturing
line
and
will
produce
multi
crystalline
solar
cells
with
16.9%
energy
conversion
efficiency.
Kyocera
is
ramping
up
its
annual
production
to
600MW
this
year
–
an
increase
of
50%
over
the
previous
year
–
to
meet
growing
demand
in
countries
such
as
Japan,
US,
Germany,
France
