Lark gets go-ahead for 'UK's largest PV plant' at 32MW

Lark worked with Germany's Conergy on another project in the UK last year

Solar developer and construction group Lark Energy has secured planning consent for what it says will be the UK’s largest PV generation plant at 32MW.

Lark will build the £35m ($55.5m) plant at a disused airfield at Wymeswold in Leicestershire, in the English Midlands

Lark has linked with clean-tech specialist Hazel Capital to raise finance for the project.

The developer plans to start work by the end of this month and finish the project by the end of March, when it says it expects a less-favourable support regime to take effect in the UK.
