EDF turns on 60MW French PV plant using First Solar modules

First Solar modules

French renewables group EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) has commissioned a 60MW PV plant in the country’s Centre region.

The Crucey plant, near Chartres, uses a converted former NATO military site to deploy more than 740,000 thin-film modules supplied by First Solar of the US.

Development of the Crucey site began in 2009. The plant will be operated by the renewables group’s EDF EN Services unit.
