Wind group Renova sees potential in Brazilian solar sector

Brazilian wind developer Renova Energia has confirmed plans to move into the PV business.

Renova plans to set up a module production operation inside Brazil – possibly taking a share in an existing business – and sell or lease the panels, as well as operating its own projects.

The group is looking at installing solar capacity on the sites of its wind farms in Bahia state under the plans, which were approved by the company's shareholders this week.
