Bosch won't join SolarWorld for China trade complaint in EU

Bosch Solar has distanced itself from comments made by Franz Fehrenbach, chairman of the supervisory board at parent company Robert Bosch, which appeared to back SolarWorld’s campaign to impose anti-dumping tariffs on Chinese PV cells in Europe.

Fehrenbach’s claim that he saw “clear” evidence of dumping practices among Chinese PV manufacturers in Europe was seen as wind in the sails of SolarWorld, which has brought about trade investigations in the US, and has expressed its intention to do the same in the EU.

But a spokeswoman for Bosch Solar claims the stories that swirled around Fehrenbach’s comments represent a “misunderstanding”.
