and
Southern
–
the
largest
utility
serving
the
Southeast
–
formed
a
strategic
alliance
to
invest
in
the
PV
industry.
Turner
Renewable
Energy
and
Southern
plan
to
bring
the
nearly-complete
Apex
Solar
Project,
in
Clark
County,
Nevada,
on
line.
It
was
developed
and
built
by
SunEdison,
which
will
operate
and
maintain
the
project,
due
to
reach
full
commercial
operation
in
the
third
quarter.
Utility
NV
Energy
is
purchasing
the
output
of
the
project
under
a
25-year
contract.
